Real humans, every call

2 AM, holiday, hurricane, doesn't matter. A real person picks up within 2 rings. Never a call center. Never an answering service.

100% of after-hours fees go to the tech

The after-hours diagnostic fee compensates the tech for time away from their family — 100% goes to them, the company keeps zero. That's why the fee applies regardless of how simple the fix ends up being.

No emergency surcharges stacked on

$79 daytime · $129 after-hours Mon-Sat · $199 Sunday. Repair pricing flat-rate written before any work begins. No "emergency service fee" line items stacked on top.

Response Times by Region

When you call, we tell you the honest ETA based on where you are and who's on call. Typical after-hours response times:

Region After-Hours ETA Daytime ETA
Mabank / Cedar Creek Lake Area (home turf)60-90 minSame-day
Inner DFW suburbs (Mesquite, Garland, Rockwall, Kaufman, Athens)90-120 minSame-day
Central Dallas / Fort Worth2-3 hoursSame-day / next-morning
Outer DFW metroplex (Denton, McKinney, Frisco, Southlake)2-4 hoursNext-morning

During major heat waves and freeze events, we specifically route emergency dispatch to whoever's geographically closest — not next-in-queue. This gets us to true emergencies faster during the worst weather.

What Counts as an Emergency

True emergencies get same-night dispatch. Here's the honest breakdown of what qualifies vs what can wait until morning:

✓ True emergency — call now, we dispatch tonight:
  • Complete system failure (no cool during heat wave or no heat during freeze)
  • Indoor temperature above 85°F with vulnerable occupants (infants, elderly, medical conditions)
  • Indoor temperature below 55°F during freeze warning
  • Burning electrical smell from air handler, furnace, or condenser
  • Visible smoke from HVAC equipment
  • Water actively leaking through ceiling from air handler above
  • Refrigerant leak loud enough to hear (health/safety concern)
  • Carbon monoxide alarm triggering (also evacuate + call 911 first)
  • Frozen pipe risk with heating system down
— Not a true emergency (next-morning is fine):
  • System working but not as efficiently as normal
  • Thermostat display issues on an otherwise-working system
  • Loud noise but system still cooling/heating
  • Slightly warm/cool spots in the house
  • Humidity issues without safety concern
  • Filter change or maintenance

These get scheduled first-thing next morning at standard rates ($79 diagnostic vs $129 after-hours). Same-day availability across our service area.

Frequently Asked Questions About Emergency HVAC Service

Are you REALLY 24/7 or is it just an answering service?

Real people, every call. A real person answers within 2 rings — usually Eric, Brad, or a senior tech, never a call center or answering service. This is a hard commitment: our after-hours line rings directly to whoever is on call, not a call center that takes messages. Test us at 2 AM if you don't believe it. That's the promise.

What counts as an emergency?

True emergencies get same-night dispatch: complete system failure (no cool during heat wave, no heat during freeze), indoor temp above 85°F with vulnerable occupants (infants, elderly, medical conditions), burning electrical smell from the equipment, visible smoke, water actively leaking through ceiling from air handler, refrigerant leak loud enough to hear, carbon monoxide alarm triggering. Anything else gets next-morning at standard rates.

How much does after-hours emergency service cost?

Monday-Saturday after-hours diagnostic is $129 (vs $79 during business hours). Sunday diagnostic is $199 all day. Repair pricing itself does NOT change based on time of day — parts and labor are flat-rate written pricing signed off before any work begins. No "emergency surcharges" or additional holiday markups stacked on top. Important: 100% of the after-hours or Sunday diagnostic fee goes directly to the technician who came to your home — it's compensation for time away from their family. The company keeps zero of that fee.

How fast can you get to me?

Response time by region: Mabank / Cedar Creek Lake Area (our home turf): 60-90 minutes. Inner DFW suburbs (Mesquite, Garland, Rockwall, Kaufman, Athens): 90-120 minutes. Central Dallas / Fort Worth: 2-3 hours depending on traffic and time of day. Outer DFW metroplex (Denton, McKinney, Frisco, Southlake): 2-4 hours. During major heat waves and freeze events we specifically route dispatch to whoever is geographically closest, not next-in-queue.

Do you charge extra for weekends and holidays?

Saturday after-hours: same $129 rate as any other weeknight after business hours. Sunday: $199 all day (day-of-rest premium). Major holidays (Christmas Day, Thanksgiving Day, etc.): whatever the day-of-week rate is — we don't stack a holiday premium on top of the Sunday or after-hours rate. What you see quoted is what you pay.

Can I book emergency service online?

For emergencies we strongly recommend calling — a real human picks up and can dispatch immediately. Online booking works fine for non-emergency and next-day appointments, but during an actual emergency, phone is faster. Call (214) 466-6465 and we'll be on our way in minutes.

What if my emergency turns out to be a simple fix?

During business hours (Mon-Sat 8AM-5PM), simple fixes are free — if the fix takes under 5 minutes with no parts (dead thermostat battery, tripped breaker, filter swap), we don't charge the diagnostic. Outside business hours the after-hours diagnostic fee applies regardless of how simple the fix ends up being — because 100% of that fee goes to the tech who came to your home to compensate for time away from their family. When we pull a tech from their kids at 11 PM or 2 AM Sunday, they've earned that fee. The company keeps zero. It's honest compensation for honest work.

What should I do while I wait for the tech to arrive?

AC emergency: turn the system OFF at the thermostat (not just adjust it) to prevent damage if there's a mechanical issue. Move to the coolest room (basement, lower floor, room with best-shaded windows). Cool showers help. Keep water intake up. Heating emergency in cold weather: layer up, keep the thermostat set to your normal temp so we can properly diagnose, open cabinet doors under sinks to circulate heat to plumbing, let faucets drip in vulnerable spots below 25°F. If you smell gas or the CO alarm is triggered — get everyone out of the house immediately, call 911, then call us.

Do you work on all AC and heating brands after-hours?

Yes — Trane, Carrier, Lennox, Goodman, Rheem, Amana, York, American Standard, Bryant, Heil, Daikin, Mitsubishi, Fujitsu, and the rest. Diagnostic process is the same regardless of brand. We stock common failure parts on the truck (capacitors, contactors, blower motors, common thermostats, refrigerant) for same-visit emergency fixes.

Is the after-hours tech qualified or is it a "night shift" rookie?

Real senior techs handle after-hours calls — usually Eric or Brad themselves, or a senior team member with 5+ years experience. This is unusual in the industry — most companies send their least-experienced techs after-hours because their veterans want to sleep. We do the opposite. If you're calling at midnight because your AC failed during a heat wave, you should get our best person, not our newest.
